BIG NEWS - Scottish Government launches consultation on our proposals for a Home Energy Efficiency Technical Assessment

After six months of hard work the cat is now finally out of the bag. Since November of last year I've been leading a team working for the Scottish Government on proposals for a Home Energy Efficiency Technical Assessment (HEETSA). Assuming we can get it through Holyrood, HEETSA won't replace EPCs, but it'll be a big step towards making sure people get the best possible advice and support for retrofitting their properties. Scottish Government Short Life Working Group on EPC Reforms

Just a quick post to say that Dr Bill Sheldrick and I have accepted invitations to join a Scottish Government short life working group on EPC reforms. We'll also be joined by Dr Richard Atkins of RIAS and Prof Lori McElroy of the University of Strathclyde, who've both contributed to some of our joint consultation responses.

Speaking about district heating at SFHA's Energy 2024 Conference

This is a belated entry, but Ron and I spoke on district heating at the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations' Energy 2024 Conference on 27th November 2024. I'll try and remember to post a link to the slides when they go up. Big thanks to Karen and Eli for being brilliant organisers 😀
