It seems our policy paper on an alternative approach to energy performance certificates has generated some interest from the Scottish Government 😮😄
So if you'd like to hear more and meet some of the EPRi and Common Weal policy teams please come along to the Melting Pot in Edinburgh on June 20th.
The official blurb from ClimateXChange Scotland is this:
The Energy Efficient Scotland Programme is the Scottish Government’s flagship programme for improving the energy efficiency of every building in Scotland. This Programme represents an unprecedented effort to retrofit the entire Scottish building stock, and the success of this is reliant on having an appropriately skilled and prepared supply chain.
This event will bring together practitioners, policy makers, and academics working on different aspects of skills and supply chains in Scotland that are critical for achieving a more energy efficient built environment. The afternoon will include those working on skills and accreditation, understandings of local supply chains, the development of trusted trader lists and how supply chains work in action.
You can sign up for the event here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/energy-retrofitting-in-scotland-skills-and-the-supply-chain-tickets-62258881992
And our policy paper on EPCs is here: https://commonweal.scot/policy-library/energy-performance-certificates-alternative-approach
Many thanks to Faye at ClimateXChange and, as always, our friends at Common Weal and Commonspace.
